It's Our Duty To Remember

CANCELED

Who We Are

A Distinct Identity

We at the Philadelphia Vietnam Memorial Society (PVVMS) are here to Welcome Home "ALL" who have served our great Country, to make sure what men and women have done to keep our Country free will never go un-noticed again. Thank you for your support!  In appreciation for your continued support we would like to introduce ourselves to you.  We are Veterans from communities and neighborhoods of Philadelphia and the surrounding tri-state area.  Our ranks are comprised of Veterans from all eras, with a few simple goals in common: ‘Helping Veterans help themselves’, perpetuating the memory of the 648 Philadelphians that made the supreme sacrifice for our Country and promoting Patriotism in all generations.  We have devoted ourselves to:

--Support and promote awareness of the POW-MIA issues; aid their families in their plight to demand the    full accounting of all POW and MIA unaccounted for from all wars and conflicts.

--Maintain a Honor Guard and Rifle Team who attend burial details, parades and fundraising intent on keeping the sacrifices made by service men and women who served in all United States of America Armed Forces.

--Provide support and comfort for victims of Agent Orange and those suffering from PTSD.

--Establish a Tuition Aid Fund to help Veterans Sons, Daughters and their immediate families to attend college or gain skills in work that enables them to find jobs in various businesses.

--Contribute financial assistance to Veterans or their families when in need.

--Donate food baskets to families in need during holiday seasons.

--Sponsored 14 names for ‘Operation Brotherly Love’.  Donated $14,000.00 to the Memorial Fund in 1987.

--Assisted The Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund to raise $75,000.00 through coin tosses, Beef and Beer socials, Souvenir sales and donations.

--Provide counseling and job placement by our support of the Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) Formerly the Philadelphia Veterans Multi Service and Education Center located at 213-217 N 4th Street, Philadelphia PA 19106. (215) 923-2600

You have shown us that you truly understand the importance of helping our fellow Veterans.  Your continued support will allow us to provide this assistance since, Vietnam brought us “together then” and we are finally “together again”.

                                                             Thank you.

In memory of our 648 Fallen Brothers.
